Our proof from Duffield printers arrived today. Yay! Brilliant to see the full book in colour rather than just the odd test spread. Happy to report that all of the colours and levels in the photos look bang on. So far so good but upon closer inspection we noticed that a couple of name captions had type-o's and that one of the images was pixelated slightly. Upon even closer inspection we discovered that the person in question had supplied us with a 72 dpi image. Great. We resized the image in photoshop and scaled it down in indesign to raise the effective ppi of the image to 200. Our test proofs showed that this sharpened the image dramatically and to a normal eye it looks fine. The pixel image! Fixed now :)
A couple of spelling errors - now fixed:
Erroneous inverted comma! Gone.
Capital K fixed.
All of these tiny changes have now been made so it is all fine to go on the press. Exciting times! We've also passed on the postcard designs on the amendment disc we sent to Duffield.
