Yearbook: Final Concept & Proofing

We showed the Surface Pattern tutors the proof of the book today and the good news is they loved it :)
As predicted though, there are quite a few amendments. Mainly copy changes and queries that we were able to answer in the meeting.
Out of the three covers we took along the tutors favourite was the blue one (mine too). Good news. From the nuber of post-its sticking out of the book you can see the tweaks we need to do. Most are small superficial copy changes though so no danger.
]The only real major amend to the book is to the outro 'tools' documentary photography section. They feel the images of the heat presses etc are too industrial and would prefer more inky / painty shots. This isn't a problem as we have plenty to choose from to replace them with:
We finally have the missing thematic enquiry descriptions and full graduate contact list for the back of the book. We've put aside Friday the 20th May to make all of the final amendments to copy etc. With all of the images finalised we will also need to resize and edit the .tiff files in photoshop to bring out the colours. Nearly there :)
Oh! We also need to design a series of request postcards for prospective students to request a book. Five shots of students work or varying disciplines to showcase the course prior to them receiving their requested book. We've contacted Duffield to get a quote for this job that the tutors will be paying for themselves - 2500 postcards (500 of each postcard).
